Nacatamal is a typical spicy and colorful meal made with corn, rice, potatoes, meat, tomatoes, and peppers. The corn is smashed along with peppers, onions and other spices until this blend is turned into a delicate mix. Then, this is cooked using pork fat. Afterwards, a small portion of corn mixture is placed over banana leaves, and stuffed with pieces of meat (uncooked) along with potatoes, tomatoes and rice. This portion is wrapped up with the banana leaves, forming small packets. The packets are boiled until the corn mixture hardens.
